CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF SERVICE-2008

We started GOOD NEWS CONSULTING, Inc., in 1998 with 7 regional dementia care training workshops conducted throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.

That has expanded into training thousands of long-term caregivers annually in the Mid-Atlantic region. Soon we will be offering web-based dementia care training to our client facilities and families. Check out our website at www.goodnewsconsulting.com.

Person-centered care has been the focus from the beginning and has developed into the creation of what we call our CULTURE of C.A.R.E. that serves as a model that features our trademarked Therapeutic Engagement Program (TEP), our Behavior Management Program, Clinical / Psychosocial Program, Environmental Program, Dining Program and Quality Performance Improvement Program. By providing long-term care communities a model to initiate their own transformation to person-centered care, we feel we are fulfilling our mission statement to provide excellence in dementia care.

In 2003, GOOD NEWS CONSULTING, Inc. started a new division of Care Coordination which includes private Care Management and Guardianship Services. Working with community agencies, attorneys, and families, we are coordinating the care of almost 40 elders at this time in nursing homes, personal care and assisted living facilities. Our care coordination services are provided in four (4) counties including York, Lancaster, Dauphin and Cumberland . We have recently expanded services in Schuylkill, Berks and Luzerne counties with the help of Kim Noel, from Spectrum. We are delighted to have her join us in our pursuit of excellence in guardianship services in Pennsylvania.

We are excited about what is ahead for GOOD NEWS CONSULTING, Inc. and look forward to the next 10 years.
