Caregiver support:

Often caregivers have their own health concerns or a family to raise while caring for someone.  Spectrum can handle the hassles of these responsibilities or help guide caregivers through the process.  Spectrum can let caregivers know what services and support are available to help them through the difficulties of their duties.  Being a caregiver and/or Power of Attorney can be overwhelming.  There is no need to do it alone.

Spectrum contracts with Area Agencies on Aging,

including the Office of Senior Services,

to help nursing home residents return to the community.

Advisory committee:

Spectrum has an informal advisory committee in all of the various aspects of the aging process.  The committee consists of an attorney, a financial advisor, RN’s, behavioral health specialists, home personal care administrators, a CPA, retired social security administration, insurance specialist, a social worker, and others in the professional and geriatric community.

Recently President Kimberly S. Noel acquired Skye, a four year old yellow lab.  While initially she was a one hundred pound handful, there was no doubt that she was destined to visit residents in facilities and Spectrum clients.  She has a pleasant “personality.”  She has been a great student in school and looks forward to meeting new people.  While there is no charge for her visits, we ask for $20.00 an hour, with a portion of the proceeds going to the local animal shelter.

About our President:

Kimberly S. Noel, CSA, BA, President and Care Manager for Spectrum has done admissions and marketing for long term care facilities for over eight years.  During that time, she saw many seniors and caregivers be overwhelmed and unsure of their situations.  Her passion to work with seniors and their caregivers led her to incorporate Spectrum in March 2007.  Spectrum opened for business in March 2008.

Noel is a volunteer for AARP, Apprise, Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Schuylkill County Advisory Committee, the Schuylkill Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance, and the Office of Senior Services Foundation.  She sits on the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, the Hazleton Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Committee, and Spectrum is a member of the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce.  Noel cofounded Schuylkill Women In Business and Schuylkill On The Move.  She serves on the Schuylkill Leadership Board of Directors.  She attends Northeast Geriatric Services meetings, Hazleton Continuum of Care Meetings, and Berks Elder Network meetings.

***Noel lives in the Lewistown Valley outside of Tamaqua, PA with her husband Bud, two horses Pearl  and Dakota, two dogs Pepper and Skye, Patches the kitty, and several outdoor cats***.
